Zebra’s ET40 tablets help the non-profit deliver immersive courses on financial and business literacy for public school students
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. – Oct. 26, 2023 – Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a leading digital solution provider enabling businesses to intelligently connect data, assets, and people, today announced that Junior Achievement of South Florida selected Zebra’s enterprise Android™ tablets to create interactive, simulated real-life financial and business literacy courses for junior high and high school students. Before moving to this paperless approach, Junior Achievement faculty printed course packets for thousands of students each year.
Junior Achievement of South Florida is part of the world’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. As part of its mission to better prepare students for real-world scenarios, Junior Achievement of South Florida now offers interactive courses on Zebra’s ET40 tablets on business and financial fundamentals, including career path choices.
“Zebra’s tablets have helped Junior Achievement of South Florida take existing course capabilities to the next level by offering an interactive experience for the students,” said Monica McNerney, Chief Operating Officer, Junior Achievement of South Florida. “Using Zebra’s innovative tablets, Junior Achievement’s national office is transitioning to a computer-based teaching model to reduce paper consumption and take advantage of the endless expansion possibilities.”
Students use the tablets to learn and perform their simulated roles in real-life business and financial situations, with access to resources, checklists, and videos on Zebra’s ET40 tablets. Centuric, a technology consultant for Junior Achievement and a Solution Partner in Zebra’s PartnerConnect program, was instrumental in setting up this new approach.

Each Junior Achievement location offers different educational programs and has different needs, but Junior Achievement of South Florida sees Zebra’s ET40 tablets as a critical part of its long-term vision to empower youth with the knowledge, ability and confidence to navigate their future.
“We are delighted our enterprise rugged tablets are a useful tool to help educate youth,” said Julie Johnson, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Mobile Computing, Zebra Technologies. “Our tablets are engineered to excel in the most demanding environments and withstand hard drops.
